2000mm Pipeline (Penstock) for “Karun 4” Dam Hydro-Power Plant (2004)

Description: Monj Hydropower plant is the part of the “Karun 4” dam major project, which is ARMAND AB is the ultimate consulting engineers and consulting engineers, is the consulting engineers for design of 2000 mm penstock. This hydropower plant has been designed to supply the required electrical power for the construction of Karun 4 dam. The length of penstock that was exposed with anchor blocks & buried was equal to 2000 m that is one of the largest penstocks in the country. The hydropower consists of hydro turbines, which are rotating by water pressure. A penstock from upstream secondary dam feed the water to the hydro power plant, and the pipeline route has an approximate head of 100 m between dam and powerhouse.
